    • This walking tour will show us the sights of Bergen in the company of an experienced guide and we shall also have a trip on the Funicular.

    • TOUR AW - INTRODUCTION TO BERGEN

    • Our tour will take us up one of the seven hills that surround Bergen to get a bird's eye view of the city and surroundings, followed by a drive through both old and new parts of Bergen.

    • TOUR CW - GRIEG'S HOME & FANTOFT STAVE CHURCH

    • Catch a glimpse of Bergen’s past in a corner of western Norway that abounds in culture and history.

    • TOUR G - GEILO & THE FLAM RAILWAY

    • In the afternoon we board our train bound for Myrdal and Flåm. The first part of the journey will be on the Oslo – Bergen Express across the vast, barren Hardangervidda mountain plateau (we will have a good view of the Hardangerjøkulen glacier).

    • This is a unique opportunity for a closer encounter with the Sognefjord. Figuring on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, the Nærøyfjord is a spectacular fjord arm – part of the mighty Sognefjord – so narrow we will almost be able to touch the mountains on either side. The fjord is sheltered by these mountains and is thus perfect for kayaking.

    • TOUR A - SCENIC DRIVE TO OSTERBO

    • We will travel as far as Østerbø. Here refreshments are served in the small mountain lodge, once a farm but uninhabited since the 1920’s.

    • From Flåm (meaning ‘large expanse of land between high mountains’), we board the train to take us to Myrdal. The track we will follow is an engineering wonder, ascending to 867 metres (2,844 feet) within just 50 minutes. It has a gradient of 1 in 18 over a distance of 20 kilometres (12 miles). The world famous railway was built between 1920 and 1940, and was in fact opened by German troops, who had a large military camp in Flåm.

    • Holo Farm is a traditional mountain sheep farm 470 metres above sea level. It is situated high up in the middle of the Flåm valley overlooking the fantastic fjord and mountain landscape of Fjord Norway.

    • This full day tour will highlight the best of the area, including a cruise on the UNESCO World Heritage listed Geirangerfjord.

    • We shall walk up to the Kjenndalen Glacier – part of the mighty Jostedal Glacier, the largest glacier in mainland Europe – for a fantastic view.

    • The track crosses the river and ascends above a waterfall to the top, where we will have a fantastic view of the Briksdal Glacier – an arm of the mighty Jostedal Glacier.

    • Sima Power Plant, situated at the end of the Hardangerfjord in Sima Valley, is the biggest power production unit in Norway, and it is open to the public.

      From the pier at Eidfjord – a tiny quaint village located at the head of the fjord, situated on moraines left behind after the Ice Age – we follow the Eid River, well known for salmon and trout fishing.

    • After walking along the pier, we board a boat, which will take us on a tour of the Stavanger archipelago and the splendid Lysefjord. Lysefjord, which cuts almost 50 kilometres (31 miles) deep into the country, is surrounded by steep mountainsides and polished by glaciers and waterfalls.
