Leaving Lisbon through Monsanto Park, we travel to Sintra, a popular old world village resort nestling in tree-clad hills north of Lisbon.

A hilly city paved with cobblestones, Lisbon’s sights are best enjoyed from the comfort of a coach. This tour takes in many famous city sights.

On this tour we can enjoy the most famous sights of Lisbon from the comfort of our coach, as well as a drive along the scenic coast to Estoril.

 Our tour begins with a panoramic drive of Lisbon city centre. We shall make a brief stop at the top of King Edward VII Park, from where we can enjoy a spectacular view of the city and harbour.

Following a short briefing at the quayside, we travel in our fully-equipped jeeps to Sintra, a popular old world village resort nestling in tree-clad hills, north of Lisbon.

Departing the quayside by coach, we will have a short sightseeing drive through the city of Lisbon, stopping at such highlights as the Belem area where we will have an outside explanation of the Jeronimos Monastery and the Monument of the Discoveries for a photo opportunity.

Following a scenic 75-minute drive through the Portuguese countryside, we arrive at the medieval town of Obidos for a unique experience to travel back in time.

One of the greatest architectural treasures of the province of Pontevedra is Soutomaior Castle. Built in the 12th century by Fernan Eanes de Soutomaior, the castle has been inhabited by several distinguished personalities throughout the years.

We then drive briefly to a regional wine cellar to sample one of the local wines, before returning to Vigo and our awaiting ship.

Departing the quayside, we drive in a northerly direction to Pontevedra. En route, our guide will explain the history of this important part of the Galician region.

En route to Bayona – a picturesque village at the mouth of the Muino River – we will see some of the beautiful Galician coastline.

From the pier we board our awaiting coach to begin our scenic tour of La Coruña, passing by the Gardens of Los Cantones, which were built on reclaimed land.

This excursion provides us with the opportunity to visit La Coruña and the famous village of Betanzos.

Departing the quayside, we drive towards the village of Betanzos, the Roman village that emerged from old Castros.

Gernika sits in the valley of the river Oka, which flows into the Gernika estuary, and was inhabited by successive civilisations until its foundation as a town in 1366. We begin our tour with a drive towards Gernika, where we will have the opportunity to admire the best of this historical and statutory capital.

We leave the quayside and begin our tour with a short drive to the urbanised Artxanda Mountain. Here we can enjoy the panoramic views over the city, with a brief photo opportunity before we continue.

San Sebastian is the capital of the province of Guipúzcoa, with a population of around 184,000 and is deemed one of the most attractive cities in Spain. Upon arrival to San Sebastian, we will drive to Mount Igueldo.

Our tour will begin with a drive to the typical Basque village of Aïnhoa. Upon arrival, we will embark on our walking tour where we will learn that the village was almost totally destroyed by the Spanish in 1629.

Our tour begins in the picturesque village of Fontarrabia. Divided into two distinct areas, our walking tour will take us through the fishing village on the way to the walled city, the fortified walls surrounding the ancient dwellings of the local nobility.

We begin our tour with a drive to Bayonne, located at the junction of the Nive and Adour rivers and listed as a ‘Town of Art and History’.
