Copenhagen is one of the most historic cities in the Baltic region and on this introductory tour of the Danish Capital we will explore nearly 850 years of history.

We start our exploration of this fascinating and historic Baltic capital city with a visit to its most cherished landmark - the Little Mermaid, inspired by the fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen.

Copenhagen, which was proclaimed as the national capital in 1417, has a long history as the ‘Royal’ city of Denmark. Our tour will take us to Rosenborg Castle and Christiansborg Palace.

This tour will take us back in time – to Victorian Copenhagen of the late 19th century. We will visit one of the best preserved homes in Copenhagen, from Victorian times, and also have the chance to see some of Copenhagen’s most famous sights.

Enjoy a comprehensive look at ‘Wonderful, Wonderful Copenhagen’, as the song goes, by land and water.

As well as a panoramic city tour, we will see a different view of the city from the Wheel of Gothenburg.

Liseberg is home to the biggest Christmas market in Scandinavia and will be decorated with around five million Christmas lights. We will visit the Ice Bar and then have free time to explore the Christmas Market.

Our tour today will take us to The World of Volvo - a museum displaying Volvo’s development from the beginning in 1927 up to the 21^st century. We shall also have the chance to test drive a classic model.

During our tour we will visit the traditional Christmas Market at Kronhuset (Crown House) where we will have free time. Dating from the 1600’s, the Kronhuset building was the City Hall and is a genuine step back in time and its Christmas market follows this theme.

Sweden’s west coast is the sunshine coast and has become the most popular holiday region in the country. The whole area is dotted with picturesque fishing villages, inlets and idyllic coastal resorts.

Following the shore of the river, we will cross Älvsborgs Bridge, then travel to the viewpoint Klippan, which offers a splendid view of the archipelago and Älvsborgs Bridge.

Drøbak is characterised by numerous timber buildings, which is a picturesque market town with narrow streets that have attracted visitors for generations; Drøbak is a summer hideaway for many Oslo residents. Santa Claus is also rumoured to have a home here, and he has his own post office.

Hadeland Glassworks started production in 1762 and is wonderfully situated near Lake Randsfjord. Arriving at Hadeland we will have a guided tour of the factory, where we can see glass being hand blown. We may choose to purchase a beautiful piece as a souvenir.

This two hour introductory tour of Oslo will give us a small taste of what the capital of Norway has to offer – one of the largest capitals in Europe in surface area.

After a safety briefing with our professional guide, we set out for our RIB adventure. We will be taken on an unforgettable expedition in a secure and rigid inflatable boat (RIB) into the lovely fjord landscape.

This tour gives us a unique chance to explore the secrets of the beautiful Oslofjord, onboard one of Oslo’s many sightseeing boats. We shall cruise for approximately one hour among the many small islands while we enjoy the sight of Oslo, its harbour and its surroundings.

Ravnedalen is Kristiansand’s answer to The Garden of Eden and will be the highlight of our tour.

This boat trip along the island-speckled coast to the neighbouring town of Lillesand is one of the highlights of a visit to Kristiansand.

By coach we head inland through fertile forestland. Following the freshwater Lake Venneslafjord, we reach Grovane Station on the line between Oslo and the city of Stavanger.

Our tour will pass the old town and continue into the suburbs and heights of Kristiansand with a view over Kristiansand Fjord. Further along, through the rural landscape of Søgne we reach Høllen, a former fishing village with a fantastic archipelago on its doorstep.

On Norway’s sunny southern tip, facing the waters of the Skagerrak at the entrance to the Baltic, stands Kristiansand. It is a 17th century town of wide streets, inviting shops and restaurants, and the picturesque charm of the Kvadraturen quarter.
