La Palma - North of the Island

Our tour will take us to the oldest part of the island and its lush vegetation. From Santa Cruz de La Palma, we will go to the viewpoint Mirador de San Bartolo de La Glaga, situated right on the edge of two deep-cut gorges.

Departing the quayside, we will cross over Santa Cruz de la Palma via Maritime Avenue, with its typical Canarian architecture. From here we go to Las Nieves, where we will visit the Insular Sanctuary of Nuesta Señora de la Nieves, which gives shelter to various Flemish sculptures. -

Lisbon Seen From The River

Our tour begins with a panoramic drive of Lisbon city centre. We shall make a brief stop at the top of King Edward VII Park, from where we can enjoy a spectacular view of the city and harbour. We then continue, passing by Pombal Square, the famous avenue of Liberty and, of course, Rossio – the very heart and meeting point of Lisbon.

Lisbon Panorama

We depart the pier for a drive to the Belem area of Lisbon. Here we shall see the Presidential Palace, the Monastery of Jeronimos, one of the most prominent monasteries in Portugal, and the Tower of Belem, built to commemorate explorer Vasco da Gama’s expedition. We shall also view the Monument to the Discoveries, which was unveiled as part of the 500-year anniversary of the death of Henry the Navigator. -

Our tour begins with a drive through the centre of Lisbon, a lively, modern capital with many historic buildings, squares and picturesque quarters. We then travel outside the city to the site of the EXPO 98 World Exhibition to visit the main attraction here, the spectacular Oceanarium.

Pico Do Areeiro & Camacha
