The Rhum Runner

We pass the ruins of Government House through St Paul’s, then travel to the parish of St David’s, where plantations of cocoa and spices can be seen. -

Departing from the quayside, we shall be driven to the Antigua Recreation Ground – home of the four existing cricket world records – for a guided tour of the ground. Known locally as the ARG, the ground became cricket’s 52nd Test Venue in 1980/1 when it hosted England in a test match marked by a century from the island’s most famous sporting son, Sir Vivian Richards. Despite the relatively small size of Antigua, with just a population of approximately 70,000, crowds at the ARG are both extremely knowledgeable and fanatical in their passion for the most famous of the Caribbean sports! -
