Exploring The Hardangerfjord (Tour A)

Our excursion to the Hardangerfjord – one of Norway’s most popular fjords, with beautiful fruit orchards lining the sides and reflections of the magnificent mountains on the crystal clear water – begins at the pier in Bergen, when we board our coach. -

Surrounded by seven mountains, a short distance from the country’s wildest and scenic fjords – encapsulating the best that Mother Nature has to offer – Bergen is Fjord Norway’s capital. -
Lysoen Island (Tour C)

Passing the city park and lake, our tour continues south through Bergen’s attractive suburbs. On Nordås Lake we can see the royal residence, ‘Gamlehaugen’. -
Flightseeing By Seaplane (Tour E)

By car we will be taken to Fornebu Airport, a drive of approximately 20 minutes along the beautiful harbour area - we pass the peninsula of Bygdoy, with its pink Oscarshall Castle. -

Norway In A Nutshell (Tour B)

We wind our way up to the Hardangervidda Mountain plateau through several tunnels, over bridges and past thundering waterfalls. Narrow paths twist up the mountainsides, used by only the deftest goats, and beautiful vistas of the valley unfold below. At Myrdal, we change trains and head to Voss. -

Our tour will show us how the way people live in this part of Norway has changed dramatically during the last century. We will see this change vividly evident throughout the beautiful outskirts of Bergen in the fjord, lake and coastal districts. -
Fjordland Scenery (Tour A)
OLDEN, NORWAY
Driving along the fjord, passing small farms and orchards, we start climbing towards Utvik Mountain, where a photo stop is made at a viewpoint to take in the wonderful panorama. Down on the other side of the mountain, we pass through the very green Våtedalen (‘the wet valley’), a grazing site for sheep and goats. -
Briksdal Glacier (Tour B)
OLDEN, NORWAY
Our excursion starts from the charming village of Olden, where we pass the church dating back to 1759 and, further up the valley, a red painted church from the early 1900’s – a gift from an American who settled in the village. He was a collector of Norwegian antiques and his home is today a museum. -
Jostedal Centre & Hjelle (Tour C)
OLDEN, NORWAY
From Olden we travel through Stryn, the administrative centre of the area, and follow the salmon rich Stryn River. We drive up to the crystal clear Stryn Lake, where we shall visit the Jostedal Glacier National Park Centre. -
Kjenndalen Glacier & Lovatnet Lake Cruise (Tour D)
OLDEN, NORWAY
Departing the quayside by coach, we travel along the fjord until we arrive at the picturesque village, and popular yet peaceful resort, of Loen. Loen has it all: fjord, fertile land, views of mountains and glaciers, and the Lovatnet Lake. From Loen we continue to Kjenndalen Valley for our first stop. -
Fjord Fishing (Tour E)
OLDEN, NORWAY
We shall join the 10 metre (30 feet) boat Isabella, chartered especially for us today, directly from our ship. Our experienced local skipper will steer our course on a short cruise to the bottom of the fjord arm at Loen, to one of the best fishing spots. -
Scenic Drive To Olden Valley Farm (Tour F)

This tour offers us the opportunity to sample Norwegian agriculture, nature and local culture. Our trip takes us through scenic Olden Valley and ends up at Aabrekk Farm, where the lady of the house, Signe, and her husband Rune welcome us. -

Departing from the quay in Oslo, we board our coach and head towards the Hadeland Glassworks, a little over an hour’s drive away through the rich farmlands of south eastern Norway. -

We shall travel by coach to the charming town of Drøbak, with its picturesque wooden houses and its many galleries.

Fjord Tour & City Sightseeing (Tour F)

This tour gives us a unique chance to explore the inner secrets of the beautiful Oslofjord onboard one of Oslo’s most charming and traditional wooden sailing boats. We shall cruise for approximately one hour among the many small islands while we enjoy the sight of Oslo and its surroundings. -
Jotunheimen (Tour A)
SKJOLDEN, NORWAY
We will travel through the Jotunheimen National Park with its dramatic alpine peaks, glaciers and waterfalls. The Sognefjell mountain road is a national tourist route and the highest mountain crossing in Northern Europe. -
Nigardsbreen Glacier (Tour B)
SKJOLDEN, NORWAY
This short trip to Jostedalen takes us from Skjolden, along the fjord to Gaupne, then through the narrow Jostedalen valley and all the way up to the Nigardsbreen. We shall park close to the glacier, which means a fantastic view and great possibilities for photographs.

Urnes Stave Church & Sogn Folk Museum (Tour D)

Today we will drive along the fjord of Luster and make a short stop to see the beautiful Feigumfossen Waterfall. Continuing, we travel along the Romantic Road to the Urnes Stave Church, which is Norway’s oldest stave church and is included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. -
Helicopter Flightseeing (Tour B)
ULVIK, NORWAY
This tour is for those of us searching for a dramatic way to view the utterly amazing fjordland scenery. Characterised as ‘Norway’s fruit garden’, the village of Ulvik is a well known tourist centre.
Braemar
Elegant and captivating describes the atmosphere that abounds on Braemar. She is perfectly suited for warm weather cruising and continues to attract plaudits.
