Melbourne is known around the world for its tree-lined boulevards, parks, gardens and, of course, the famous Yarra River. One glance at a map and it is obvious that Melbourne was a planned city – a tidy, balanced grid of neatly angled streets. However, beneath this sense of ‘everything in its place’ restraint lies a restless creative energy, which constantly pushes back at the city’s apparent conservatism. Today we can get to know this much loved city by both coach and boat.

Considered by most Namibians to be the country’s only real holiday resort, this old German town spreads from the mouth of the Swakop River into the surrounding desert plain.
