REYKJAVIK, ICELAND
This tour commences with a drive alongside the City Lake – Tjörnin – with a view of City Hall, and continues past The Pearl – Perlan – an impressive glass dome on top of hot water storage tanks. Through Reykjavík’s suburbs we travel past the rugged lava fields of the Reykjanes peninsula, towards the Blue Lagoon
REYKJAVIK, ICELAND
Leaving the harbour we shall follow the coastline before heading inland to arrive at the city’s municipal conservation area of Heidmörk. The surrounding lava fields, craters and imposing mountain ranges bear witness to the country’s fiery origins.
REYKJAVIK, ICELAND
As we approach the city we will notice the clean lines of modern buildings and fresh bright colours, with the number of traditional buildings increasing as we get closer to the old town centre. Our tour starts with a drive through the city’s main recreational and sports area of Laugardalur.

Our visit allows us to experience some of the most outstanding scenery in the country. Thingvellir ranks at the top of Iceland’s tourist attractions, and in 2004 it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The outstanding scenery here is of tremendous geological and historic interest.
NUUK, GREENLAND
At a local venue, Kaffe-Mik will be served – an old Greenland tradition of inviting guests to your home for celebrations such as weddings and birthdays. Refreshments include coffee, tea and Greenlandic cake.
NUUK, GREENLAND
Nuuk is situated at the entrance to one of the world’s most spectacular fjords. On this exhilarating whale spotting excursion, we sail into the archipelago west of Nuuk where, all year round, these wonderful mammals feed in between the islands.
NARSARSUAQ, GREENLAND
On this excursion we will fly over the mountains that lead up to the edge of the inland icecap. By helicopter we cross Johan Dahl Land, heading for the glacier in Brede Fjord – which spills into the large fjord – an amazing sight!
NARSARSUAQ, GREENLAND
On this tour we will have the opportunity to observe many of the species of plants and birds typical of South Greenland. A bus will pick us up from the pier and transfer us the short distance to the end of the road, in the Hospital Valley.
NARSARSUAQ, GREENLAND
Greenland’s inland icecap produces 250 million tonnes of icebergs every summer. Their final journey begins when they break off from glaciers. One of these glaciers is the Qoroq Glacier near Narsarsuaq, which we will reach by local boat in approximately 30 minutes.
NARSARSUAQ, GREENLAND
We shall walk through the settlement, where the guide will explain about the sheep breeding which takes place here, and we will visit the Viking ruins. The story of this great race will unfold…
TORSHAVN, FAROE ISLANDS
Our tour will visit Tinganes, which is the historic part of Tórshavn, for a walk of approximately one hour. It is largely preserved to the present day, and is one of the few existing medieval towns with timber built houses.
TORSHAVN, FAROE ISLANDS
Travelling up the scenic ridge top road that runs along the southern part of the island of Streymoy, we pause for photos at a viewpoint overlooking the colourful capital city. In the green sheep pastures above Tórshavn we should look out for stone cairns which marked the footpaths between villages in olden days.
TORSHAVN, FAROE ISLANDS
By coach we will travel to the village of Vestmanna, where we board a boat to reach the bird cliffs. Here our senses are awakened by the sound of thousands of seabirds, which return every summer to breed, and the whispering undertone of the ocean.
