BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
This tour will appeal to those of us who enjoy soft adventure. Leaving the port in 4x4 Land Rovers, we will pass Gun Hill Signal Station and its stone-carved lion. Soon we venture off-road, for a view of what the island probably looked like when it was first settled in the 16th century.BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
Shortly after leaving Bridgetown Harbour, we pass by Pelican Village – a small arts and crafts centre which houses a number of shops offering locally made gifts and souvenirs. Next we drive along Broad Street, the main shopping area of Bridgetown, followed by Heroes Square (formerly Trafalgar Square).
BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
Picture ourselves relaxing on the deck of a sleek catamaran, the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea lapping at the sides, beautiful palm-fringed beaches gliding by, and warm sunshine kissing our skin. With a gentle wind blowing in our hair, and the sweet sounds of the Caribbean in our ears, we will realise that life doesn’t get any better than this!
BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
Departing from the quayside we shall board our tour vehicles for our journey to the famous Kensington Oval, a venue steeped in history and home to West Indies cricket. Legends including Sir Garfield Sobers, Gordon Greenidge, Desmond Haynes, Malcolm Marshall and Joel Garner have all played some of their finest games here.BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
Departing from the quayside, we will have an approximate one hour transfer to the northern most parish of Barbados – St Lucy.BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
Departing from the quayside, we will embark on a journey to some of Barbados’s most beautiful and important historical sites. Our journey will begin as we head north along the West Coast, also known as the Platinum Coast. It is not only home to Holetown, the site where the first settlers landed in 1627, but is also home to the rich and famous.BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
Departing from the pier we will head north towards the parish of St. James, passing through Holetown with its monument commemorating the first British landing in 1605. The drive will continue to Highland Adventure Centre, at an elevation of more than 1000 feet above sea level. Here we will enjoy a refreshing drink whilst taking in the breathtaking view of the East Coast.BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
Departing the quayside by coach we will be invited to sit back, relax and enjoy our last day of our holiday. The Farewell Barbados Tour enables us to take in some of Barbados’ highlights before being transported to the airport.MANAUS, AMAZON

MANAUS, AMAZON
Guided by a skilled professional who qualified at the military CIGS (Centre for Intensive Guerrilla War in Rainforest), this tour takes us on a walk with a difference…
MANAUS, AMAZON
We take a moonlit riverboat cruise into the dense jungle backwaters, where we’ll transfer to a small-motorised canoe. Under the expert direction of our native guide, we’ll glide silently into the flooded forest and its countless overgrown tributaries. Armed only with a flashlight, our guide will attempt to locate caimans by startling them with the light.
MANAUS, AMAZON
We’ll take an approximate one-hour riverboat ride up the dark waters of the mysterious Rio Negro. Here we’ll see the huts of the ribeirinhos (river people), clustered on the riverbanks. For our comfort, the riverboat is equipped with restroom facilities (although these may be basic), and we can purchase refreshments from a cash bar; US Dollars are accepted. (Complimentary mineral water is supplied.)
MANAUS, AMAZON
An exciting overnight trip in the heart of the Amazon jungle! Our tour includes transfers by regional boat, accommodation, all meals and sightseeing, and is escorted by a local English-speaking guide. Please note that this excursion fills the time that our ship is docked in Manaus, therefore it will not be possible to do any additional sightseeing in the city.MANAUS, AMAZON
On our tour, we will learn about the history and architecture of the buildings of the São Sebastião Square, as well as visit a special Rubber Scenario and Museum.
MANAUS, AMAZON
Manaus is today the centre of a rapidly developing Amazon region. The city’s old-world mansions and monuments still exist but are now set among modern skyscrapers. The finest example of architecture from this period is the Teatro Amazonas (Opera House), which we will see during our tour. Newly renovated, the 1896 Teatro Amazonas appears in its entire belle époque splendour. It is a symbol of the region’s past ‘golden era’ of the rubber boom, and still ranks as one of the world’s most elegant theatres.
MANAUS, AMAZON
Experience an intoxicating blend of adventure and romance on this tour along the dark waters of the mighty Negro River and the chestnut-coloured Amazon River.
PARINTINS, AMAZON
Experience the folklore of the Amazon during a special festival held in the village of Parintins.
SANTAREM, AMAZON
From the pier in Santarem, we travel on the Cuiaba Road before continuing south on the Santarem-Cuiaba Highway – the only road connecting this part of the Amazon with other points in Brazil. At this point we will reach an elevation of 158 metres (518 feet), which might be considered the Alps for the Amazon! A few minutes later we will enter a secondary dirt road that will take us to Bosque Santa Lúcia (Santa Lucia Woods). Different stages of ‘slash and burn’ agriculture and the effect it has on the forest and land can be observed on this stretch of road.
SANTAREM, AMAZON
This is an excellent opportunity to explore the ecosystem of the Amazon. The lakes of this section of the river are especially lush, containing a wealth of vegetation.
SANTAREM, AMAZON
This tour starts with a drive along the bustling waterfront of Santarem, where boats dock from all over the Amazon. Since boats are the main mode of transportation for people in this region, it is common to see both passenger and cargo vessels transporting many different products to the market.
