Our exciting tour programme starts upon arrival. We shall pass the Alexander Platz Square, with Berlin’s Television Tower – the centre and heart of former East Berlin.

One example of East Germany’s preparation for the so-called Third World War was the construction of highly specialised military bunkers.

The Marine Science Centre is the world’s leading scientific capacity in marine orientation and underwater sense perception and operates the world’s largest seal basin (8,000 cubic metres). The seals here were all born in captivity and are trained to work closely with the biologists, physicists and marine zoologists

Situated on the banks of the Daugava River, Riga was once one of the most important Hanseatic cities. Until 1856, fortification walls and earthen ramparts surrounded it. Since then there has been much change, although many buildings have been preserved and renovated in the Old Town, which we shall visit on this tour.

Peterhof was conceived by Peter the Great to rival Versailles in splendour. Indeed, several hours could be spent enjoying the extravaganza of the dazzling fountain display.
