Departing from the quayside we will have a short transfer to the cable car station. On a clear day we will have magnificent views of the madeiran landscape as we travel by cable car to the Monte Tropical gardens!

Set within the magnificent Palheiro Estate and lying adjacent to the 5 * Madeira Island Hotel Casa Velha do Palheiro – the 18-hole, par 72 Championship golf course meanders through a pristine environment of maritime pine and botanical woodland embroidered with lush, sub-tropical vegetation.

Henry the Navigator of Portugal, at the beginning of the 15th century, planned to extend his knowledge of the coast of West Africa. In pursuit of this objective, two young sea captains, Joãn Goncalves Zarco and Tristão Vaz Teixaira, were blown off course on their journey around the African coast. After many days at sea they found land on a small island that they called Porto Santo; the year was 1419. It was a year later that the next discovery was made. The captains had reported a possible island on the southern horizon. Approaching the island they were met by huge Atlantic rollers breaking along the north coast, and the boiling turbulence of the crosscurrents at the Ponto São Lourenço. However on rounding the headland they discovered the Bay of Machico, and the heavily forested island they called Madeira.

The currency of Madeira is the Euro.

Our bicycle tour will offer us a fun way to explore the city of Funchal as we wind our way through the interesting streets.

Departing the pier by coach, we shall travel by highway to the village of Machico, the most historical and interesting town on the island! Machico was the landing point of the first discoverers of Madeira, and as such we will discover some beautiful old buildings including the oldest church on the island.

This tour provides us with an introduction to this beautiful island, with visits to the insular Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves and the famous National Park of Caldera de Taburiente.

Departing from the quayside, we shall board the trolley-train, travelling along the main avenues, Avenida Martima and Avenida de Las Nieves.

Departing from the quayside we head south of La Palma enjoying panoramic views of the Breña Baja and Mazo villages en route.

This tour is designed for those of us who would like a panoramic view of La Palma, with limited walking involved.

Departing the quayside, we will cross over Santa Cruz de La Palma via Maritime Avenue, with its typically Canarian architecture.

Our tour will take us to the oldest part of the island renowned for it’s lush vegetation. From Santa Cruz de La Palma, we will go to the viewpoint Mirador de San Bartolo de La Galga, situated right on the edge of two deep-cut gorges.

San Sebastian, the capital and harbour of the island, is a pretty, picturesque village with approximately 6,000 inhabitants.

On this tour we can enjoy the enchanting rainforest of La Gomera with a hike through the north-western area of Garajonay National Park.

Leaving San Sebastian, we take the north road towards the National Park of Garajonay.

An extinct volcano, Mount Teide, dominates Tenerife’s mountainous landscape; at 3,718 metres (12,200 feet), it is the highest peak in Spain. The volcanic scenery of Tenerife is both enchanting and inspiring, and has been the setting of famous movies such as Planet of the Apes and One Million Years Before. Santa Cruz is the lively cosmopolitan capital of this, the largest of the Canary Islands. Throughout the city there is a variety of architectural and historical interests to suit all tastes.

From Santa Cruz, we will take a short drive in the direction of La Laguna in order to join the road to the Esperanza Forest. As we travel through the pine tree vegetation of the forest, we will catch tantalising glimpses of Mount Teide.

Departing the quayside, we begin our tour with a transfer to the yacht harbour of Puerto Colon, where we board our catamaran.

Departing the harbour of Santa Cruz, we pass by the university town of La Laguna and cross to one of the finest wine-growing areas on the island to reach Tacoronte and then El Sauzal on the western coast.

Garachico is a picturesque village resort on the northern coast of Tenerife, and was once the island’s main port. In 1706, the harbour was partially blocked by lava in a volcanic flow; we can observe the remains of the former town, its typical architecture and the volcanic siphons formed by lava on the sea.

For those of us who have visited Tenerife before or just prefer to do our own thing, this tour is perfect.

Departing the quayside, we drive by La Laguna, the second most important town of Tenerife, located in the centre of Aguere Valley and just a few kilometres from the capital.

Departing the quayside, we take a short drive in the direction of La Laguna in order to join the road to Esperanza Forest, with its cool eucalyptus vegetation and tantalising glimpses of Mount Teide.

Departing from the quayside we will board our waiting jeeps. To begin our we travel towards Canadas del Teide, where we will stop at the impressive Esperanza Forest for a photo opportunity.

The Maspalomas beach stretches 2,710 metres along the southernmost point of Gran Canaria.

The Canary Islands are Europe’s winter place in the sun, and this tour offers us the opportunity to experience first hand some of the most popular resort areas on the south side of the island.

Departing from the quayside, we shall board our tour transport and travel to Aloelixir.

This tour allows us to discover the flora of Gran Canaria. Approximately 43 percent of the territory here is protected and the flora of the Canary Islands is unique to the world, since many of these species, now extinct in their places of origin, survive here as living relics of earlier geological periods.

Departing from the quayside, we begin our tour with a drive to the harbour of Puerto Base in Puerto Rico to board our catamaran.

Palmitos Park is a botanical garden and zoological park situated approximately ten kilometres (six miles) from Maspalomas, and should not be missed by anyone visiting Gran Canaria.

Departing the quayside, we drive through the commercial area of Las Palmas, until we reach Teror, a town of wide streets and colonial mansions with traditional wooden balconies.

We begin our tour with a short drive to the oldest quarter of Las Palmas – Vegueta. A maze of cobblestone streets and quaint shaded squares, we shall make our way to Columbus House

 Our tour begins with a panoramic drive of Lisbon city centre. We shall make a brief stop at the top of King Edward VII Park, from where we can enjoy a spectacular view of the city and harbour.

On this tour we can enjoy the most famous sights of Lisbon from the comfort of our coach, as well as a drive along the scenic coast to Estoril.

Departing the quayside by coach, we will have a short sightseeing drive through the city of Lisbon, stopping at such highlights as the Belem area where we will have an outside explanation of the Jeronimos Monastery and the Monument of the Discoveries for a photo opportunity.

Following a scenic 75-minute drive through the Portuguese countryside, we arrive at the medieval town of Obidos for a unique experience to travel back in time.

Leaving Lisbon through Monsanto Park, we travel to Sintra, a popular old world village resort nestling in tree-clad hills north of Lisbon.

A hilly city paved with cobblestones, Lisbon’s sights are best enjoyed from the comfort of a coach. This tour takes in many famous city sights.
