This is a tour for people who like to walk and explore old towns on foot at a leisurely pace and there is a chance to visit some of the most fascinating architectural sites on the Orkney Isles.

 This excursion combines the scenic southern Orkney Islands, linked by causeways, some fascinating traces of World War II, and a visit to the northernmost whisky distillery in Scotland.

Belfast is a city of industry and elegance and boasts a rich and varied past. Its origins go back to an ancient fort controlling the ford across the River Lagan, which flows through the city. Our panoramic tour of the city will introduce us to the many features of Northern Ireland’s largest city. Built with 19th century industrial money, many fine buildings from this era grace the city still and are reminders of its prosperous past.

From the rugged cliffs of the coast to the magical beauty of the Glens, here is the best of what Northern Ireland has to offer. We shall travel via Ballymena to the beautiful Glenariff Forest Park.

We board our vehicle and, unlike any other, this is an amphibious vehicle that will take us through Belfast City on both land and water.

On arrival in Glendalough we will commence a walk, of approximately four hours, through the valley. We will follow the Spink Loop Walk.

Dublin is known for the world famous Book of Kells and this tour allows us to see this masterpiece at Trinity College, as well as visiting St Patrick’s Cathedral and having a general sightseeing tour of the city.

The Beaulieu Estate is situated on the banks of the River Boyne and was built between 1660 and 1666.

Baking lies at the heart of traditional welsh cooking, which we will be able to enjoy during our stop for Welsh Tea. It will include succulent slices of Bara Brith – the famous speckled bread of Wales, which was originally a variation of the weekly loaf.

Our visit to Carew Castle will show that it is undoubtedly one of Pembrokeshire’s finest, and historically most important. It was occupied continuously from the 12th to the 17th centuries, by which time it was transformed into a magnificent Elizabethan mansion.

Over the years, lovespoons became more elaborate and decorative, and they have become collectable. The custom was widespread into the late 19th century when it gradually died out. However, lovespoon making has continued as a traditional craft and we will visit Kerry Thomas in his workshop to learn more about the history and customs of the craft.

On this tour we can experience the sights and sounds of a Freesia Centre, relax amidst beautiful landscaped gardens at the Gold & Silversmith Workshop and visit a privately owned award winning cliff top garden in the country parish of St Martins.

Herm Island, which measures just a mile and a half long and half a mile wide, has all we could wish for – there are no cars, no crowds and definitely no stress.

On arrival at the pier, we will be met by our guide, an experienced birdwatcher, who will introduce us to the main bird feeding stations on Guernsey’s west coast.

Arriving on the Isle of Wight we shall travel to Osborne House. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert bought Osborne House in 1845.
