St John's, Newfoundland
Since 1947, explorers, adventurers, pirates and all manner of seafarers have found their way into St. John's spectacular harbour, although the first permanent settlers were the British in the mid 18th century.
This capital city of Newfoundland and Labrador enjoys a rich and colourful history and offers a wonderful blend of old world charm, unique architecture, historic landmarks, breathtaking countryside and surrounding local fishing villages. There are also opportunities for bird and whale watching.
