Sete
In historic Languedoc-Roussillon, Sete is the Mediterranean's largest fishing port and a bustling harbour town whose original island site is now linked to the mainland by natural silting.
The authentic mood of the colourful Vieux Port, reserved for fishing boats, and the town's mellow facades, pedestrian streets, shaded squares, and many canals, bridges and quays offer delightful strolling.
