  • Due to fuel costs rising significantly since brochure production, it has become necessary for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines to also levy a Fuel Cost Supplement for our 2009/2010 programme.
  • From cruises BL0905, BD0909, BM0909, BW0902 & BP0908, the charge will be £4.00 per passenger per night, with the charge for 3rd and 4th occupants charged at £2.00 per passenger per night.
  • This supplement has a maximum charge of £80 per passenger and £40 per 3rd and 4th passengers.
  • Where cruises also feature in the 2008/2009 3rd Edition brochure, the charge will be £6.00 per passenger per night, with the charge for 3rd and 4th occupants charged at £2.50 per passenger per night.
  • With these cruises, the supplement has a maximum charge of £120 per passenger and £50 per 3rd and 4th passengers. Please note prices on this web-site include the fuel surcharge supplement.

Bastia, Corsica

The second largest town on the island, Bastia is a busy commercial centre.

The name is derived from the Corsica word Bastiglia, meaning fortress, and today the Citadel offers some of the best views of the city. The magnificent Place St. Nicolas is really the heart of the city, and is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Bastia also has its share of beaches…pebble beaches to the north, sandy beaches to the south, and the superb Mariana beach that borders the ornithological reserve of the Pond of Biguglia - a firm favourite with birdwatchers.
