Durres
One of Albania’s oldest cities, Durres lies on a small peninsula on the coast of the Adriatic Sea.
The city hosts very important sites, favourable for cultural tourism, such as the Amphitheatre, the Byzantine forum, the Archaeological museum, the Venetian tower, the Monument of Resistance and the Ethnographic museum. It has a sandy and shallow beach, making it a favourite with locals and tourists alike.
