Discover the more scenic and artistic locations of the famed French Riviera as you explore both Cannes and Saint Paul de Vence.

Departing the quayside, your coach joins the motorway and proceeds west, to the glittering enclave of Cannes. The resort town is famous for its film festival, held every year in May, when movie stars can be seen here in abundance. Upon arrival here, a short stop at the elegant La Croisette Avenue allows you to admire the renowned hotels and the shops of the Rue d’Antibes. You can then enjoy some time to explore at leisure and enjoy lunch (at your own expense), before proceeding with your tour.

Leaving Cannes, travel to Saint Paul de Vence, the meeting place of the artists and stars. The tapering outline of the village stands out from afar, above the rolling hills and rich valleys of the Vence countryside, in a charming setting.

During your exploration you will discover that this 16th century walled town, which is typical of the fortified villages guarding the frontier, has retained much of its medieval appearance, its ramparts remaining remarkably intact to this day. You will have the opportunity to stroll through the narrow, cobblestone lanes, exploring the many wonderful boutiques and art galleries at leisure prior to returning to your ship.

Enjoy the opportunity to get a close-up of the famous and challenging Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit, before admiring the Prince of Monaco’s classic car collection.

Leaving from one of the world’s most famous ports, you will walk by the famous Rascasse Chicane en route to the Top Car Museum, where you can admire the Prince of Monaco’s private classic car collection.

Approximately 100 old vehicles and carriages from the royal collection are on display on here in the exhibition hall, including a 1929 Bugatti, a 1952 Rolls Royce, and a 1986 Lamborghini Countach. On the first level you can admire  the barouches (carriages) used by Prince Charles III. During your visit, you will also view the 1903 DeDion Bouton,the first car owned by Prince Albert.

Your tour continues as you follow your guide and walk by the renowned Formula 1 race track. Imagine Lewis Hamilton whizzing past you, racing for pole position as you pass by the pits, the hairpin bends and the Automobile Club (ACM), founder of the Formula 1 in Monaco. Follow the track up to Monte Carlo, admiring views of the Casino and the Loews Chicane. Finally you will walk through the Casino Gardens to the famous tunnel and back to your awaiting ship.

On your tour today you can admire the highlights of the principality of Monaco.

The narrow streets of Old Monaco and the Prince’s Palace cling together on a promontory. Boarding your city bus, you depart the quayside for the transfer into Monaco. Upon arrival here, embark on a brief walking tour, before enjoying some time to explore at leisure. You may choose to view the Prince’s Palace, visit the Oceanographic Museum or Monaco Cathedral, which contains the tombs of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier.

Next, you meet your city bus and travel to the district of Monte Carlo, where you will find the Place du Casino, a square boasting the Hotel de Paris, Café de Paris and the famous Monte Carlo Casino. Following a guided tour, you will have approximately one hour and 15 minutes to browse the area at leisure. You can view the casino, which stands on a fine terrace surrounded by beautiful gardens, admire the famous yachts in the harbour, or walk along the square.

Following your time at leisure, you return to your meeting point for the return journey back to the quayside and your awaiting ship.

Entrance fees are NOT included in the cost of this tour – these will be at your own expense. Please note that guests will be transferred via city buses, which are designed for standing and seated occupancy, therefore not everyone will have a seat during the short transfers. The Historic Grand Prix is a ticketed event, we are pleased to announce that we have secured tickets for this fantastic affair within Grandstand K. There is no general admission option.

Grandstand K stretches from Tabac to the swimming pool chicane section, and tickets for this section guarantee a great overview of this part of the circuit, as well as a view up to the Tunnel exit chicane. This is a great spot to see the impressive performance of the Historic Formula One machinery as they corner at high speed between the unforgiving barriers.

You will first make your way along the seafront and use the elevator to reach the Old Town of Monaco. Walk with your knowledgeable guide, who will take you past the Oceanographic Museum and the Cathedral containing the tomb of Princess Grace & Prince Rainier III. Enjoy the view of the exterior of the Prince’s Palace - appreciate the blend of medieval fortifications and renaissance features. Leaving the quayside in Monaco, your coach proceeds to Nice along the Lower Corniche, passing the famous Riviera resorts of Eze sur Mer, Beaulieu, St Jean Cap Ferrat and Villefranche. Upon arrival in Nice, you will see the Promenade des Anglais, a splendid palm-lined boulevard, and the legendary Negresco, an imposing hotel with a Rococo façade. You can also admire the exterior of the Russian Orthodox Cathedral, with its vivid ceramics, pink bricks and grey marble beneath six onion domes, which give an exotic touch to the Nice scene.

Continuing, you will then visit the Old City, where tall houses, bright flowers and washing exclude the glare of the sun and keep the streets cool. Embark on a walk along the Cours Saleya, an elegant promenade in Old Nice, where the famous flower market is usually held in the picturesque quarters.

Re-boarding your tour coach, you will drive along the Middle Corniche, boasting scenic views of Villefranche, Cap Ferrat and Beaulieu, before reaching the medieval village of Eze, which is perched on a craggy peak above the Mediterranean. French Riviera

Enjoy the opportunity to relax onboard a coach and admire spectacular views of the Grand Corniche, the beautiful vistas along the shore on the Middle Corniche, and the coastal resorts of the Lower Corniche.

Leaving the quayside in Monaco, you will join the highest of the three roads, passing the Vista Hotel, with a marvelous panorama of the coast from the Italian border and the principality of Monaco. You continue to the village of La Turbie, which has been built on the Grand Corniche at an altitude of 480 metres (1,574 feet) overlooking Monaco. Your coach returns you to the Middle Corniche and onto Eze, a village that clings to a towering rock like an eagle’s nest, 425 metres (1,400 feet) above the sea. Enjoy a stop at the square situated at the bottom of Eze for a photo opportunity.

Continuing your journey along the Middle Corniche, the panorama extends from the tip of Cap d’Ail to the Estérel (a formation of volcanic rocks). Marvel at views of Beaulieu, Cap Ferrat, Villefranche, Nice and Cap d’Antibes. Pause to admire vistas of Nice before continuing with a panoramic drive of the city.

Finally, enjoy views along the Lower Corniche, another scenic route of the French Riviera. You will pass the fashionable resort of Beaulieu; Eze sur Mer, which lies beneath the cliffs of Eze Village; and Cap d’Ail, sheltered by pine and cypress trees, prior to your arrival back in Monaco.
