You could revel in the exciting carnival atmosphere at Copacabana Beach; ride a cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain for stunning views of the city; or perhaps head to the peak of the 700m Corcovado Mountain and see the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue up close.
