Greatest Fjords of Norway
Balmoral • L1721 • Prices from £999.00 (cruise only)
A memorable journey along the Lysefjord is the perfect start to your fjordland adventure, offering views of spectacular mountainous landscapes and the unmistakeable Pulpit Rock. You will then sail into Eidfjord for tours to the magnificent Vøringfoss Waterfall and the enchanting Hardangervidda Nature Centre, before embarking on a peaceful glide through the highly-rated ‘Queen of the Fjords’, Hardangerfjord. A day in Flåm follows, allowing time to ride the awe-inspiring Flåmsbana Railway and see the mighty Tvinde and Kjosfossen waterfalls up-close; or climb to the Stegastein Lookout where views of Aurlandsfjord are nothing short of magical. Speaking of magical, a scenic cruise along the glassy-waters of UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord will be just that.
Uncover the intriguing history of Klippfish at the unique museum in Kristiansund, from where you could also encounter white-tailed sea eagles on a wildlife watching excursion; or traverse the famous Atlantic Road, one of the world’s greatest driving roads. Experience an early morning cruise by Strandafjellet Mountain – voted one of the top ten fjord experiences – then enjoy a short stay in Hellesylt – the gateway to the striking Hellesylt Waterfall and Tystigen Glacier. Next you'll sail past the Seven Sisters Waterfall and glide along Geirangerfjord en route to Geiranger. Take in the scenic surroundings on a kayaking tour here, or even sample delicious treats at the local chocolate shop & factory. As this inspirational cruise comes to an end you’ll also visit Olden for tours to the stunning Briksdal Glacier; immerse yourself in the peace and tranquillity of the Nordfjord; and dock in beautiful Bergen – home of the charming Bryggen Wharf and majestic Mount Fløyen.
