Caribbean & Cuba

Discover the incredible sandy beaches and crystal clear waters of the Caribbean on board Braemar in January 2016. You’ll hop between gorgeous, sun-soaked islands and enjoy a rare overnight stay in one of the most historic and picturesque cities on earth – what a way to start the New Year.

Your fly-cruise begins in Bridgetown, Barbados where you can see the amazing stalactites and stalagmites of Harrison’s Cave; spot sea turtles in the surrounding azure waters; or simply relax on the golden sands before setting sail in search of unforgettable experiences at some truly breathtaking islands. Visit St. George’s, Grenada – often described as the West Indies’ prettiest harbour town – and absorb the unique culture of the ‘Spice Island’ over a glass of local rum; immerse yourself in the peace, tranquillity and natural beauty of St. Lucia from Castries; and discover the stunning English Harbour and historic Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua, where there’s also 365 incredible beaches to choose from.

You’ll also spend a day in historic Road Town, from where you can explore the astonishing scenery of Tortola or visit the site where the Emancipation Proclamation was read in 1834; have the chance to discover the contrasts between the French and Dutch sides of the dual-governed island of St. Maarten from Philipsburg; and experience paradise at Grand Turk, where you can sunbathe on soft white sands or take advantage of the warm, coral filled waters and have a go at snorkelling or scuba diving. Before ending your holiday in the vibrant and exciting town of Montego Bay, Jamaica, you’ll be treated to a rare overnight stay in the fabled Cuban city of Havana. Many cruise ships can’t visit Cuba, so be sure make the most of your warm welcome to sample fine cigars and rum; see the sights from the back of a classic American car; and absorb the engrossing mix of art and culture that this world-famous, historic city has to offer.
