Sample the laid-back vibes of Barbados, where you’ll have the chance to explore the staggering Harrison’s Cave during an overnight stay in Bridgetown; marvel at St. Lucia’s soaring Twin Pitons and discover breathtaking botanical gardens from Castries; and go hiking in the lush rainforest of Grenada’s Grand Etang National Park from St. George’s to marvel at majestic mountains, huge volcanic crater lakes and fascinating wildlife. During a call into Kingstown you’ll have time to see the city's historic attractions, or go in search of St. Vincent's famous parrots on the island's wonderful nature trails.
Explore Queen's Royal College and the nearby Edwardian mansions in the culturally diverse capital of Trinidad - Port of Spain; wander through the extraordinary Cathédrale St-Louis in Fort-de-France, or marvel at the unmistakeable French buildings, tucked away within the green hills of Martinique. Cruise past the stunning island of Montserrat before arrival in St. John's, Antigua. From here, visit the English Harbour and historic Nelson’s Dockyard – two of the Caribbean’s most famous highlights. Then in Basseterre be sure to hitch a ride on the spectacular St. Kitts Scenic Railway for remarkable island vistas. As well as calling into a string of the Caribbean’s most beautiful destinations, you’ll also experience a memorable sunrise cruise by Montserrat – home of the active Soufrière Hills Volcano.
Hurricane Irma update: The itinerary for this sailing has been adjusted due to the devastation caused to some Caribbean islands by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria, so differs from that shown in our Worldwide 2017/18 brochure. Directed by Chris Dean, since Syd's retirement in 1996, we're delighted that they'll be joining Balmoral and will be performing some of their best-known pieces for guests.
