The stylish Glentanar Restaurant is the main restaurant on Black Watch where your taste buds will be tantalised by the fantastic and huge choice of dishes freshly prepared by our award winning chefs. Whether it’s a formal night or one of our special theme nights you will be assured of a great atmosphere as you enjoy your meal.

Clear Beef Broth with Tiny Vegetables
Flavoured with a splash of port and served with a crisp cheese twist.

Hand Tossed Classic Caesar Salad
Anchovies, herbed croutons and Reggiano cheese flakes.

Roast Lamb Loin "Provencal"
Pink roasted and painted with Dijon mustard, topped with crunchy herb and
garlic crust, natural jus, gratinated potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Crepes Suzette
A classic with wonderfully rich Grand Marnier laced orange sauce, vanilla ice cream
and toasted almond flakes.

Wine List

The vine is first thought to have been cultivated between 6000–4000 BC by late Palaeolithic or Early Neolithic peoples in western Asia. We learn from the Psalmist that “wine maketh glad the heart of man”.
Indeed, the fruit of the vine has carried great symbolism through the centuries.

Today the cultivated grape – Vitis vinifera – is appreciated worldwide. The rediscovery of cork and the beneficial effect of maturing wine in bottle have allowed its potential to be realised.

This list reflects the global diversity of wine. Here is an opportunity to enjoy wine from many different backgrounds in terms of climate, geology and grape variety with the methods of production and ageing still considered an alchemy between art and science.
