Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines recently laid on a little something extra for lucky customers on their first fly/cruise to the Mediterranean from Bristol Airport. To mark the occasion of the first Mediterranean departure, Fred. Olsen greeted passengers with champagne and orange juice accompanied by delicious Mediterranean-style canapés to get them in the holiday mood.
The cruise line uses a wide selection of regional airports for its fly/cruises, including Bristol. Cruises with direct flights from Bristol include Caribbean fly/cruises from Miami aboard Balmoral (Fred. Olsen’s latest ship), Caribbean fly/cruises from Barbados aboard Boudicca and Mediterranean fly/cruises from Civitavecchia (Rome) on both Balmoral and Braemar. In all, there are 18 cruises in the 2008/9 cruise programme where you can fly direct from Bristol and all flights are with a fully escorted Fred. Olsen charter.
Lucy Thurston, Fred. Olsen’s sales executive for the South West of England said: “We are so excited to be able to offer departures from Bristol, which is ideal for our many customers based in the south west. We hope they enjoyed their special welcome and are having a fantastic time on their Mediterranean cruise.”
The cruise in question is aboard Balmoral, latest ship to join the Fred. Olsen fleet. She is based at Civitavecchia (Rome) during May and early June 2008, for a season of fly/cruises to the Eastern and Western Mediterranean and Adriatic.
