Our Shore Tours Department are open between 09:00hrs - 17:00hrs Monday to Friday.
How do I book a Shore Tour and when are they available to book?
Shore Tours are available 4 to 6 weeks prior to departure, and can be booked online, through the Manage My Cruises section of this website; or by completing the form in your Tours Book.
To be able to book your shore tours online, you must be logged into My Cruises, and then ensure you have completed the Guest Information Form.
You can also book your Shore Tours when on board your cruise ship, although we recommend booking before you depart, as many tours are very popular and book up very quickly.

If the shore tour I want is fully booked, can I go on a waitlist?
Yes, you can - if a tour is fully booked please call our Shore Tours Department on 01473 292444 (option 2) to be added to the waitlist.
How do I know which tours are right for me?
You can filter your shore tour choices by the amount of walking involved. Please also read the tour notes which come up when you click Is this tour right for you? within My Cruises – this includes walking and other general information (including refreshments and toilet stops) to help you decide on suitable tours.

Can I do more than one tour in a day?
It may be possible to do more than one shore tour in a day, if the time in port and duration of chosen tours permits.
Your Shore Tour Booking Form in your Tours Book will show you the time of day tours are operating, and if you are booking online you will only be able to book two or more tours on one day, if it is possible to do so.
Do you have shore tours suitable for wheelchair users?
Most of our shore tours require guests to be able to board a coach; however there are a few tours which are wheelchair accessible and we can also look into private tour options, in wheelchair accessible vehicles, in all ports if required – please call our Shore Tours Department on 01473 292444 (option 2) or e-mail Shore Tours to enquire further.
Are lunch and refreshments provided on a full day shore tour?
Generally, a meal or refreshments are provided on a full day shore tour - please look for the symbol on your chosen shore tour to see what facilities are provided (example provided below):
Do I need to organise my own visa if I do an organised shore tour in Russia?
Guests on Fred. Olsen organised tours do not require a Russian Visa. If you intend to tour independently, or indeed step off your cruise ship alone, a Visa MUST be obtained. We suggest that non-British citizens seek advice from their embassy or consulate. Private tours are available, which do not require a separate visa application. For further information, please see your tour details.
Guests must carry their passport at all times. When leaving your cruise ship for tours, you will have to pass through Immigration (and on your return). To assist us with meeting Russian immigration requirements, it would be greatly appreciated if ALL guests can bring with them a photocopy of their passport photo page only and hand this to our check-in staff. This is in addition to bringing your full passport with you.
If I book a half day tour in the morning, can I then book another half day tour in the afternoon?
This may be possible – if booking online, you will be advised at the time of checking availability if your chosen tours will clash.

Where do I find children's prices?
Child prices are shown on the Shore Tour Booking Form in your Tours Book, if applicable (for children aged 12 years and under) and will also be shown when booking online – please note that the discount is only applied once you reach the payment stage.
What if I want to do something that is not offered on a tour?
If you wish to visit a specific site, we can look into a tailor made, private tour option for you – please call Shore Tours on 01473 292444 (option 2) or e-mail Shore Tours to enquire further.
What if I need to cancel my tour?
If you have booked a tour online and wish to cancel or amend it – please e-mail us the details at Shore Tours and we will action your request for you.
Please note that a 10% cancellation charge will be incurred should you cancel a tour once onboard.
When will I receive my tours book?
Tours books are sent to guests approximately six to eight weeks prior to the cruise departure date.
