The port of Scrabster is located just a short drive from the Castle of Mey and within walking distance of Thurso, the second largest town in the Highlands. From Scrabster you can explore the beautiful surrounding landscape, or enjoy the traditional fishing harbour with its modern fish market.

• When The Queen Mother first saw it, the Castle of Mey was in a poor state of repair. Recently widowed and looking for somewhere to escape from the public eye, she vowed to save the castle from destruction.

• Our tour will take us to some of the highlights of Northern Scotland, with its rugged beauty and spectacular views. We will visit the northernmost distillery in the land, and have some free time to shop in a harbour town after lunch.
