ST MARY'S, ISLES OF SCILLY, ENGLAND

We will be met by our local guide and accompanied to the Atlantic Hotel – a lovely property located on the pretty isle of St Mary’s. On arrival at the Hotel we will enjoy refreshments whilst being introduced to the history of the Isles by a knowledgeable local guide.

On arrival at the Hotel we will enjoy refreshments whilst being introduced to the history of the Isles by a knowledgeable local guide. We will then enjoy a scenic walking tour of St Mary’s – beginning with the Elizabethan Castle. We will see the town, harbour area, white sandy beaches and flower-strewn footpaths around St Mary's, meeting artists and seeing ancient sites. We shall then return to our ship.

Although it will be possible to reach St Mary’s independently by tender, this tour is for those looking for the services of a qualified local guide and includes refreshments. This is a walking tour, with approximately one and a half hours of walking, so a good level of fitness is required. Comfortable, sturdy footwear is recommended. Wheelchairs can be accommodated but this may be a strenuous tour for the person pushing the wheelchair. Refreshments will be tea or coffee and biscuits. Local tenders will be utilised to take us across to St Mary’s.
