From Leith, visitors head to Edinburgh Castle to see the Scottish Crown Jewels. At one end of the Royal Mile lie the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the new Scottish Parliament building. To the north is the Georgian New Town which offers excellent shopping. Two other major attractions are the Royal Botanic Gardens and the acclaimed Edinburgh Zoo. There are also tours to St Andrews and Scone Palace.
