Fowey, UK

-
Located on the steep tree covered hillside overlooking the River Fowey.
The area has a long maritime history, and still has an old fishing harbour – a pretty tangle of pale shaded houses and small snaking lanes. There is much to keep you entertained, including St Catherine’s point, the old blockhouses, or take the Fowey Town Tour to experience everything Fowey has to offer.

- The Lost Gardens of Heligan
- Fowey, UK, United Kingdom
The tale of Heligan is extraordinary. Literally locked up in 1918, it attracted international attention when it was rediscovered in 1990. Volunteers from throughout Europe worked to catalogue and clear the gardens and ravines, which yielded all manner of botanical surprises.
