TOUR E - SEA LIFE BOAT TRIP
Excursions
- £50 - £60
- Approximately 2 hours
- Very limited capacity - early booking recommended
Leaving Tobermory harbour in our boat, we head out into the Sound of Mull with our local Sea Life Survey crew, to see if we can seek out any local wildlife that live in and around the waters. There is the chance of spotting minke whales (which are the focus of the vessel’s research), common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoise, basking sharks, seals and numerous seabirds (including puffin, guillemot, razorbill, kittiwake, herring gull, gannet, Manz shear water, storm petrel, arctic and great skua).
After two hours on the open water, we shall return to Tobermory.
TOUR NOTES: There is a walk of approximately 200 metres (656 feet) from our ship to reach our boat on the quayside. The boat used will be boarded by gangplank and will be partially covered. You are advised to wear layers of clothing that you can remove if necessary, as even on a bright day it can be cool at sea. A rainproof jacket would be advisable. Certainly bring binoculars if you have them. We can not guarantee which birds and sea life will be seen. Refreshments can be purchased, at our own expense.
