Heading west out of Tobermory along a winding road we reach the village of Dervaig, which nestles beside narrow Loch Chumhainn. Recognised by its unusual conical church spire and single street of dinky whitewashed cottages and old corrugated iron shacks, Dervaig makes for a wonderful photo stop.
Carrying along the beautifully scenic coastal route, we pass through tiny hamlets and past sandy beaches overlooking the sea with views out to the islands of Coll and Tiree. We shall stop at the white sand beach of Calgary for photos before returning to Dervaig and taking an alternative, cross-island, route via Achnacraig.
We return to the picturesque village of Tobermory, with its clusters of brightly coloured houses and boats sheltering in the bay.
TOUR NOTES: This panoramic coach tour involves a small amount of optional walking at Dervaig and Calgary. Therefore it is suitable for all passengers. All participants should be able to board the coach unaided. It should be noted that we will spend up to one and three quarter hours on the coach, which may not have air conditioning.
