TOUR B - TIGRE & DELTA CRUISE
Excursions
- Approximately 4 hours
- Limited Capacity
- Please read tour notes
We begin our tour with a journey through the fashionable riverside suburbs of Olivos and San Isidro, where time permitting we will make a brief stop to view the beautiful cathedral. We then head to the area known as Tigre – also referred to as ‘the playground of the Portenos’ (as the locals are known). We’ll see the area’s gracious homes and streets lined with wide, elegant weeping willow trees as we head to the centre of town, where locals enjoy the cafés and outdoor restaurants while observing the charlatans and soap-box politicians.
We continue by motor launch for a leisurely water tour (lasting approximately one hour), past the islands and along the waterways of the delta. Century-old stone mansions, English cottages, Italian villas, little shacks painted in bright hues of blue and green, and various rowing and yacht clubs will pass by.
TOUR NOTES: While there is only a small amount of walking involved in this tour (approximately 100 metres/300 feet, plus steps), it is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or walkers, due to the transition from bus to motor launch and vice versa. There is a gangplank to board the motor launch. Please note that we will be transferred from our ship by shuttle bus to the cruise terminal building, through which there is an approximate 100-metre (300-feet) walk. Comfortable flat walking shoes are recommended.
