TOUR A - SCENIC MOLDE TOWN
Excursions
- 45 - 55
- 3 hours
We shall see Molde Church and the church tower surrounded by a garden of roses and other flowers on the terraced hillside.
The Romsdal Outdoor Museum is one of the largest provincial museums in Norway. It comprises over 40 buildings and illustrates the development of this community from the Viking era through to the end of the 19th century. Here we can enjoy a folk dance performed by locals in their colourful national costumes.
We will then rejoin our coach and travel to the Varden Viewpoint, which is on the side of the mountain 1,300 feet above the town of Molde. Here we will have a photo stop to enjoy the panoramic views of the fjord and Romsdal Mountains. Nestled below us is the town, and we will see our ship at the pier.
TOUR NOTES: This tour involves limited walking – but at the Outdoor Museum there are gravelled paths as well as grass and uneven ground. As this is the major feature of the tour, we would not recommend it for guests with limited mobility or wheelchair users.
