Karlskrona
On the south eastern edge of the Swedish mainland, Karlskrona was founded in 1680 and is an outstanding example of a naval port of the late 17th century.
Almost fully intact, this historic port takes its place on the World Heritage List. Not surprisingly, the main attraction is the Naval Museum which depicts the Swedish Navy over the centuries; however, the new Leonardo Da Vinci Ideale Museum has several outstanding artpieces.

Our tour begins with a brief tour of Karlskrona itself. We shall have the chance to take photos. Continuing by coach, we shall stop to visit the Admiralty Church, built in 1685, which is the largest timber church in Sweden. In front stands the legendary figure of Old Rosenbom, his outstretched arm begging for alms.
