Helsingborg
On the sunny west coast of Sweden's southern Gotaland province, with a sweeping panorama across the Sound waterway separating it from Denmark's Zealand, the attractive little city of Helsingborg offers a perfect snapshot of contemporary Sweden.
From here you can travel along the coast to the stately manor house and parklands of Sofiero, summer residence of the late king. Or to the picturesque fishing village of Old Viken, Hoganas, the centre of Sweden's pottery industry, and the splendid coastal scenery of the Kullaberg nature reserve.
