We shall drive from the pier to the charming village of Tagaranna – a typical old fishing village with many summer cottages now renovated for holidaymakers. From here we can get a marvellous view of the high coastal cliffs across the bay. Continuing our tour we have a short drive to the unique Ninase Windmills – decorated like peasants wearing national costume. Driving through the lovely Mustjala village we will reach Pidula Manor and Park. We will also see a popular fish farm, which is situated nearby. After a few minutes drive we reach the Odalätsi Springs. Here the underground water “springs” to the surface in many bubbling springs that form pools and streams. We will pass Kihelkonna village where we shall see the 13th century Kihelkonna Church. It has an original bell tower built in the 17th century and located some hundred metres away from the church. After Kihelkonna we will visit the Viki Farm Museum which was founded in the 18th century. The farm buildings and all furniture and household appliances have survived intact. Here we can see old rural architecture and have the chance to purchase a souvenir of our visit. Continuing on our way we reach Kuressaare – the biggest town of the island but still a typical provincial town with lovely old buildings, Medieval Castle and one main street with numerous coffee shops and souvenir stores. We can enjoy some free time here before the return drive to our ship.

This tour involves a minimal amount of walking – at the photo stops and at Viki Farm Museum (optional tour). Passengers may, if they wish, remain on the coach at the photo stops. If purchasing souvenirs, city shops usually accept Estonian Kroons and credit cards, and at the market and the farm Euros and US Dollars are also usually accepted.
