We begin our tour with a short drive through the centre of Helsingborg, past Stortorget (the main square), the City Hall with its richly decorated façade, the Concert Hall and the Civic Theatre. Just north of Helsingborg, we pass the royal manor Sofiero, renowned for its parklands. Along the coast we see the fishing village of Old Viken, with its half timbered houses and colourful bathing huts lining the beach. Continuing north through the small coastal settlements of Strandbaden and Nyhamnsläge, we arrive in Mölle. This town is situated at the entrance to Kullaberg, a unique nature reserve consisting of ravines, steep cliffs and a variety of vegetation. At Kullen, the tip of the peninsula, we will walk to the lighthouse which signals the entrance to Öresund, perched on cliffs rising out of the sea. After a short drive inland, we stop at the traditional café Flickorna Lundgren på Skäret (the Lundgren Girls), set in delightful surroundings, for home-made refreshments. Following this, we will visit the medieval church at Brunnby. (If circumstances permit, we may look inside at the 12th century wall paintings.) Following our visit, we return to Helsingborg.
This tour involves some walking at each of the stops (approximately 200 metres/650 feet to and from the lighthouse) and will include gravel and uneven ground. We will not visit the inside of the lighthouse. It may be necessary to stop at a different venue for our refreshments.
