This tour shows us parts of the splendid town and takes us to the breathtaking viewpoint on Mount Aksla, for the best panoramic view of this spectacular scenery. We will also enjoy a drive along the Borgundfjord, through the suburbs, to the bustling old trading centre of Borgund – site of the Sunnmøre Museum. The museum comprises an open-air museum – featuring various types of farmhouses and boathouses which have been reassembled here from the region and displayed in attractive surroundings – and houses a variety of boats, reflecting the importance of the region as a shipbuilding centre. We shall enjoy a short Folklore show during our visit. Located here is also the lovely Borgund Church, its oldest parts dating back to around 1250.

This tour involves approximately one hour of walking over uneven ground during the visit to the Sunnmøre Museum. It is not suitable for wheelchairs. Points of interest may be visited in a different order than that described.
