TOUR B - A SAY IN BRUGES
Mini Cruises Excursions
- £80 - £90
- Approx. 8.5 hours
- Two hours walking
Bruges is an exquisitely preserved medieval town whose charm will capture us immediately. Smaller and more contained than many other old Flemish cities, Bruges gives the impression that we have stepped back in time.
Following a drive of approximately 75 minutes, we arrive in Bruges and disembark our coach for a guided tour. Our walk will take us through the narrow and twisting cobbled streets, passing picturesque ancient buildings, tree lined canals and gabled facades. We shall see the bustling marketplace, Belfry Tower, the Town Hall and the Chapel of the Holy Blood.
We then reach the point where we will board a canal boat for a cruise of approximately 30 minutes. We will pass many examples of the well preserved medieval architecture that makes Bruges such a visitor attraction.
Our guide will take us to a typical Bruges restaurant for a three course lunch, we will then have free time to wander at our leisure, or do some shopping – lace and chocolate are both popular souvenirs. We will then walk with our guide back to the coach, for the return journey to our awaiting ship.
TOUR NOTES: This main part of this tour is a guided walk - taking approximately two hours in total, including some cobblestones. There is also walking and steps to board the canal boat, and to return to the coach. All other walking is during the free time, of approximately an hour and a half, and is therefore optional. It is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or wheelchair users. Please note that the canal boat is not covered, but umbrellas will be available should it rain. The itinerary may operate in a different order to that described.
