The historic and beautiful natural harbour of Sinop.

The harbour has for thousands of years been strategic in the cultural and trade systems of the Black Sea. The town's citadel dates back thousands of years and the Archaeological Museum is well worth a visit, where many beautiful and interesting artefacts from Sinop’s history are housed.

• Departing the quayside, we drive to Akliman, west of Akliman (Akkum) Beach. We shall see Hamsilos Fjord – the only fjord on the coastline of the Black Sea – and Akliman, a natural harbour.
