To embark the boat for this excursion we will travel to Silema. Onboard we will witness Malta’s living past from the water as we ply around the two natural harbours on either side of Valletta – Marsamxett Harbour and the Grand Harbour.
To embark the boat for this excursion we will travel to Silema. Onboard we will witness Malta’s living past from the water as we ply around the two natural harbours on either side of Valletta – Marsamxett Harbour and the Grand Harbour. Detailed commentary will unfold on the history of the three cities of Vittoriosa, Seneglea and Cospicua – connected with the two great sieges of 1565 and 1942 – as well as other places of notable interest. These include the historic forts, settlements and various creeks. We can enjoy a non-alcoholic drink as we soak up the sights. On completion of our harbour cruise, we may enjoy some free time in Valletta, before we return to our ship.
We shall be on the boat for approximately 1½ hours. Please note that the boat will not be exclusive to Fred. Olsen passengers. This tour is dependent upon favourable weather conditions. If our call falls on a Sunday some shops may be closed. There is walking from the coach park to the boats, this may be over uneven grounds. There will also be steps to negotiate in order to embark and disembark the boats.
