Cagliari, Sardinia
Sardinia's historic capital 'between the sea and the mountains' was founded by the Phoenicians, developed by Rome and later subject to a wealth of Pisan, Genoese and Spanish influences!
Climb up from the modern harbourside city to explore the picturesque upper town's old quarter - dominated by a medieval castle and cathedral and protected by walls nearly 1,000 years old. Or simply relax by one of the lovely beaches within easy reach.

The Archaeological Site of Nora (Tour A)
CAGLIARI, SARDINIA
Driving in a south westerly direction from Cagliari, our coach will pass St Gill’s Lagoon – where, if we are lucky, we may see pink flamingos. Our route continues amongst olive groves and we will spot, in the distance, one of the biggest refineries in the Mediterranean, belonging to the township of Sarroch.
