Bari, Italy

-
Bari, one of southern Italy’s most compelling cities.
Its rich, eclectic mixture of cultures – Norman, Arabic, Roman – is evident in its beautiful Old Town. Bari also has an unusual claim to fame - as the last resting place of Santa Claus. Or, at least, of Saint Nicholas whose bones were stolen by Bari sailors from the city of Myra (now in Turkey) and re-buried in the magnificent cathedral.
