We begin our tour with a drive through the “Massif des Maures”, which offers breathtaking views of the forested ridges and hills stretching from Hyères to Frèjus. We will reach the amphitheatre-shaped village of Mimosa, which is built on the side of the mountain and is known for its abundant flora.
Here we will enjoy a walking guided tour of the village, including a flower-lined walk around the castle and stunning views over Bormes, Cap Bènat and the islands of Port Cros and Le Levant from the terrace.
Numerous artists are established in Mimosa, with painters, potters, sculptors and silk painters amongst the many mediums practised in the village. We will have approximately 45 minutes of free time to visit the many workshops before boarding the coach and returning to the ship.
TOUR NOTES: There will be approximately 45 minutes of compulsory walking on this tour, with some steep gradients and cobbled ground. During our free time, walking is at the discretion of the individual. We unfortunately do not recommend this tour to those with limited mobility or wheelchair users.
