TOUR C - WEST COAST & LA GRANJA
Excursions
- 4.45 hours
- Medium/Hard
We will have approximately 30 minutes of free time here to explore this charming port.
We continue our tour by travelling along the mountain road to the Es Grau Mirador, where we can enjoy a short photo stop before heading further along the rugged coastal road. After admiring the impressive sea views, we will drive through the mountain villages of Banyalbufar and Estellencs. We then arrive at La Granja, an old Mallorcan country house of Arabic origin. Here we will see not only the beautiful old building and gardens, but also an exhibition of ancient craftsmanship. We will experience the traditional way of life as we are shown skills such as wool spinning, pottery and woodcarving, which are kept alive today in some of the more isolated parts of the island.
During our visit, we can also enjoy refreshments consisting of typical island products, such as Sobrassada (a typical paprika sausage), buñuelos (a hot cake typical to Mallorca) and a glass of wine. before the return journey to Palma.
TOUR NOTES: This tour involves approximately one hour of compulsory walking, some of which will be over uneven and hilly ground. There is approximately 30 minutes of free time, where walking is at the discretion of the individual. There are a few steps to negotiate at La Granja, and a few at the photo stop at Es Grau Mirador (passengers can remain on the coach at this stop if they wish).
