Our coach will depart from the harbour and will make our way to Mosta (meaning centre), which refers to its very location at the heart of the island. Here we will stop to see the famous dome, considered to be the third largest in Europe. We will then drive to one of the local vineyards where some of Malta’s most delicate wines are produced, this will be followed by a wine tasting session accompanied by local specialities. Continuing on we will proceed to Ta’ Qali crafts village, which is made up of many old buildings and hissen huts used previously by the RAF. They were converted into small workshops and souvenir boutiques where we will watch local artisans at work producing typical Maltese ware including pottery, silver, filigree and glassware. We will be given some free time here to browse and purchase some of the hand made goods. Our final destination will be Attard to visit San Anton gardens which surround the palace built in 1623 and today is the residence of the President of the Republic of Malta. The garden is a botanical delight with mature trees, old stone urns, fountains, ponds and formal flowerbeds. It is formal with rustic touches and holds a wide variety of plants and flowers, such as Jacaranda trees, Norfolk Pines, Bougainvillea and roses. We will then make our return journey back to our awaiting ship.

Please note that a visit inside the Mosta Dome may not be possible is there are services being carried out. Sleeveless tops or miniskirts must not be worn in Mosta church. This tour does involve approximately 2 hours of walking and approximately 30 steps will be encountered, therefore this tour is not suitable for the less mobile or wheelchair uses.
