This excursion is for those of us who would like to visit the city, but are worried about the amount of walking involved in tour A. We depart the pier and drive towards the Gothic area, passing Citadel Park, the Arch of Triumph, the Cathedral, the Roman and Medieval walls, and Colon Avenue. Our knowledgeable guide will point out the highlights and provide an interesting commentary. Then we will take Passeig de Gracia Avenue, where we shall be able to see some examples of Modernism. From here we take Diagonal Avenue in order to reach the Holy Family Church – Sagrada Familia (outside View). This temple, with its profuse decoration and striking originality, is a unique sight unlike anything ever seen. Construction began in 1884 and is still unfinished. Our drive continues through Montijuïc Mountain where we shall see the Spanish Village, the Miro Foundation and the Olympic Stadium. A short stop at the panoramic viewpoint of Mirador del Alcade will be made, in order to see the splendid views over Barcelona. This is a driving tour. Subject to traffic conditions, the itinerary may vary. Please note that there is a short walk if you are wishing to use the toilet facilities at Sagrada Familia.
