TOUR B - SNORKELLING AT RAS MOHAMED
Mediterranean cruises Excursions
- £45 - £55
- Approximately 4 hours
- Very Limited Capacity
- Active tour
Departing from the pier, we will have an approximate 45 minute drive to the Ras Mohamed National Marine Park, which is located south of Sharm El Sheik. Upon arrival at the park, considered one of the world’s best snorkelling spots, we will have approximately two and a half hours to explore this underwater haven.
The Park – the only National Park in Egypt, comprising land and water – is surrounded by coral reefs. There are some 200 or so species of corals, and 1,000 species of fish. Ras Mohamed is the point where two water masses come together; the salty water from the Gulf of Suez; and the water (still salty, but less so) from the much deeper Gulf of Aqaba.
All too soon it is time to re-board our coach, for the return drive to Sharm El Sheikh, to rejoin our awaiting ship.
TOUR NOTES: Please note that this active tour is designed purely for guests who wish to snorkel. You should be a confident swimmer. Come already wearing your swimming costume (there are no changing facilities or toilets), and do not forget your towel and sun protection. Mineral water is available on the coach. For reference, please visit the onboard tours office prior to this tour, to advise of the size of fins that you will require.
