Narsarsuaq
Narsarsuaq is located on one of the many fjords off the Labrador Sea on the southeastern coast of Greenland.
During World War 2, U.S. forces built an airbase that is now Narssarssuaq Airport, serving Qaqortoq and other towns in the region.

Erik The Red's Village (Tour A)
NARSARSUAQ, GREENLAND
Travelling by boat we will cross Erik’s Fjord to the village of Qassiarsuk, situated on the very spot of Brattahlid – the farm founded by Erik the Red more than 1,000 years ago. We shall walk through the settlement, where the guide will explain about the sheep breeding which takes place here, and we will visit the Viking ruins. The story of this great race will unfold…

Helicopter Flight To The Icecap (Tour D)
NARSARSUAQ, GREENLAND
On this excursion we will fly over the mountains that lead up to the edge of the inland icecap. By helicopter we cross Johan Dahl Land, heading for the glacier in Brede Fjord – which spills into the large fjord – an amazing sight!

Hike Into The Flower Valley (Tour C)
NARSARSUAQ, GREENLAND
The flower valley lies on a fertile meander of the river flowing out of the Kiagtut Sermiat Glacier, producing a flourishing crop of hay each year. The adjacent rivers’ banks are colonised by rosebay willow herb, the national flower of Greenland. On this tour we will have the opportunity to observe many of the species of plants and birds typical of South Greenland.

Qoroq Ice Fjord (Tour B)
NARSARSUAQ, GREENLAND
Greenland’s inland icecap produces 250 million tonnes of icebergs every summer. Their final journey begins when they break off from glaciers. One of these glaciers is the Qoroq Glacier near Narsarsuaq, which we will reach by local boat in approximately 30 minutes
