    Greenland’s inland icecap produces 250 million tonnes of icebergs every summer. Their final journey begins when they break off from glaciers. One of these glaciers is the Qoroq Glacier near Narsarsuaq, which we will reach by local boat in approximately 30 minutes

  • Round The Island Boat Trip (Tour B)

    HEIMAEY, WESTMAN ISLANDS

    We begin our tour from the harbour in Heimaey – a harbour that for a long time has been a shelter for the Icelandic fishing fleet, but was almost lost in the volcanic eruption on the island in 1973. We sail past the cliffs surrounding the harbour to start an interesting and informative journey passing bird colonies with millions of inhabitants and exploring caves that can only be visited by boat.

  • The Lost Gardens of Heligan (Tour E)

    The tale of Heligan is extraordinary. Literally locked up in 1918, it attracted international attention when rediscovered in 1990. Volunteers from throughout Europe worked to catalogue and clear gardens and ravines, which yielded all manner of botanical surprises. We have the opportunity to visit this unique time capsule.

  • Thorsmork 4x4 Safari (Tour B)

    REYKJAVIK, ICELAND

    The valley of Thórsmörk is considered a pearl of Icelandic nature. Surrounded by glaciers, it seems like a green oasis in the wilderness. In 4x4 vehicles, especially modified for the purpose of traversing Iceland’s varied terrain, we travel over the lava plateau Hellisheidi and proceed via the southern coastal lowlands, to the greenhouse village Hveragerdi. The route passes through some of the prettiest countryside in Iceland – on a clear day there are frequent views of mountains including snow shrouded Hekla, the country’s most active volcano, and the towering, ice capped Eyjafjallajökull.

  • Torshavn Panoramic Drive (Tour D)

    TORSHAVN, FAROE ISLANDS

    We board our coach on the quayside opposite historic Tinganes, the rocky peninsula in Tórshavn harbour where the ancient Vikings first established the town. Travelling up to the scenic ridge top road that runs along the southern part of the island of Streymoy, we pause for photos at a viewpoint overlooking the colourful capital city.
