Departing from the Viking City of Waterford, we will travel north to the neighbouring county of Kilkenny. Before arriving at Thomastown, a stop will be made for us to visit Jerpoint Abbey. Jerpoint is one of the finest monastic ruins in Ireland.

Departing the quayside, we drive to the belvedere at Espalamaca, from where there is a superb outlook towards the port and the charming old town of Horta. The town was important due to its sheltered harbour, and today has several beautiful old buildings. We will also have the opportunity to see the islands of Pico, São Jorge and Graciosa, which form part of the Central Group.

We will depart the ship for the economic capital of Morocco, visiting first the Hassan II Mosque. The mosque was inaugurated in 1992 and is a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture and craftsmanship, as well as being the third largest mosque in the Islamic world.
